The Mindful Day Book Giveaway

Thanks for SHARING!

Dear friends,

Earlier this week I wrote about my 17 hour experiment in paying attention. Instead of being on autopilot, I made a real effort to have a mindful day. Keeping with the topic of mindfulness, I’d like to share one of my favorite books with you.

The Mindful Day: Practical Ways to Find Focus, Calm, and Joy From Morning to Evening by Laurie J. Cameron is a guide in how to slow down and be more present during every moment of the day.

Like me, do you ever feel like ‘mindfulness’ is kind of a vague notion? What I appreciate about this book is that Cameron shares dozens of specific ways to put the concept to practical use.

The book’s short chapters lead the reader from waking in the morning to falling asleep at night, with specific suggestions for being mindful during every phase of a day — while working, during free time, with your significant other and family, and at home.

The Mindful Day is 272 pages and retails for $21.99 USD and I’m giving away one brand new hardback copy to a lucky reader. (Note: This giveaway has ended. Congratulation to winner Elisabeth M.!) To be entered in the giveaway, simply leave a comment on this page and answer this question:

If you were granted one more hour a day, how would you most love to spend the time?

The giveaway is open to anyone with a U.S. shipping address, and will run through Sunday, April 14, 2019 at midnight MST. I’ll announce the lucky winner on Monday, April 15.

Good luck and best always,

  1. One more hour would be spent reading for pleasure and making sure I get my daily Headspace meditation. Thanks for sharing this title…it looks great.

  2. It would depend on the day. Some days I find myself wishing for an extra hour to get work done and other days its sleep. On some days, it’s for spending more time with my loved ones and others to read a book.
