She was a contestant on the Food Network’s Trivia Unwrapped, a short-lived show one viewer called “beyond awful” while another said simply, “It’s not very good.” Although she didn’t win the grand prize, she received a year’s supply of Raisinets as a parting gift.

Eliza has contributed to several anthologies, including 60 Candles: Reflections on the Writing Life published by the American Society  of Journalists and Authors. In 2010, she won the “Pitchapalooza” competition – called the American Idol for book authors – at the Writers and the Independent Marketplace Conference presented by the Mountain & Plains Independent Booksellers Association. Her prize was a fabulous consultation about her upcoming novel with Arielle Eckstut and David Henry Sterry, The Book Doctors, and she’ll share more details about the book soon.
